" I thought as much, " murmured the Padre, sympathetically.
" And will Your Excellency co-operate with us, if we try to get the nail out. "

" Won't I, though ! "
The horse snorted again.
" Why, I haven't been able to touch this foot to the ground for sixteen days. "
